A Quiet Christmas

Christmas this year was slightly different from what I am used to. I wasn't surrounded by aunts, uncles and cousins, I didn't get to see my parents, nieces, nephews or siblings, there wasn't any snow since on Christmas day it was probably 60 degrees outside, and because there was only 3 of us it was quiet! But we had a fantastic day all the same. To be honest Kayson has no idea what Christmas is because he is only 15 months old, but on Christmas eve the elves, Pixie, Dixie and Trixie, brought him some new jammies. Those sneaky elves door bell ditched our house and left his jammies right on the porch. Kayson was pretty excited to see that there was a present for him to open and he really liked his new monster jammies.

Obviously because Kayson was such a good boy Santa Claus visited our house. Kayson didn't know that when he woke up he would have new toys to play with but when he saw the train and cars that Santa brought he was all smiles. Then on top of that he got to open presents from his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was so fun to watch and play with.

Even though Christmas was quiet this year it was probably the best one yet. I loved watching Kayson have such a good time. I missed being with my family but I wouldn't change this Christmas for anything. Being with Casey and Kayson was worth being away.
